What is the Find Yourself Youth Support Program?
The Find Yourself Youth Support Program is a Canberra-based youth mentoring and support service founded by Ben Edwards. It helps young people build confidence, self-esteem and resilience through tailored support, physical activity and community engagement.
Who is the program for?
Designed for young people facing challenges like school struggles, behavioural issues, complex needs or involvement with the youth justice system. Our program supports participants in developing life skills and emotional regulation through individual and group mentoring.
What services are included in the program?
We offer personalised one-on-one mentoring, group sessions, physical training and mental health support. Programs may include boxing sessions, confidence-building activities and tailored coaching based on each young person’s goals.

Who runs the program?
Ben Edwards, a former professional athlete with experience in boxing, kickboxing, martial arts and representative rugby league, founded the program in 2022. His personal journey through anxiety and resilience informs his trauma‑informed, youth‑centred practice.
Is there a cost to participate?

What qualifications does the team hold?
Ben holds qualifications in Youth Work (Cert IV), Community Development and Community Services (Cert III). He is Mental Health First Aid Accredited, trained in Suicide Intervention, NDIS Worker Orientation certified, and has completed the Moral Injury Assess and Assist Course as well as the Keystone Australia Coaching and Mentoring Level 1 Course.
